Design, Planning, and Construction for the "Yadnu" Festival
The Cruck Frame Cabin is an exploration of traditional timber frame construction, a method rooted in carving structural frameworks from solid wooden beams or trunks. This project is a modern interpretation of the cruck frame—a building technique historically used in England. The name "cruck" refers to the distinctive curved wooden profiles that form the structure’s facades, creating a shape reminiscent of the letter "A."
Crafted in collaboration with fellow woodworkers for the Yadnu Festival, the structure serves as both an architectural and cultural statement. Upon the festival's conclusion, the structure was donated to the Yaelim Center in Jerusalem, where it was repurposed as a forest therapy clinic. This initiative, which combines nature and healing, provides therapeutic support to at-risk populations and individuals with special needs, further enriching the project’s legacy as a space for well-being and community.
